Pre-Class Reflection
These are the teacher’s reflections on her planning process. In this approximately 14-minute video, the teacher describes her process for developing the lessons. She includes the mathematical goal of the lessons, the different ways she anticipates students will interpret the mathematics involved in the activity, and how she will build off of students’ responses to further her instructional agenda.

 

Class Video
This is the video from the classroom. This video contains an approximately 46-minute edited version of the classroom lesson. Although the entire classroom discussion is included, some transition periods were edited in order to highlight the action. In addition, there are three (3) groups of students shown working on the assignment.

Post-Class Reflection
These are the teacher’s reflections on the lesson. In this approximately 10-minute video, the teacher reflects back on how her anticipated lessons played out in the classroom, and how she would revise the next day’s lesson based on today’s activities. She also describes particular students’ interpretations and how she dealt with the unexpected questions that arose.
